Sufjan Stevens is multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter. His fascination with epic concepts has motivated two “state” records (Michigan and Illinois), a collection of sacred and biblical songs (Seven Swans), a Chinese zodiac-themed album (Enjoy Your Rabbit), two Christmas box sets (Songs for Christmas and Silver & Gold), and a programmatic tone poem for the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway (The BQE). His most recent releases include Planetarium, Carrie & Lowell Live, The Greatest Gift (about Tonya Harding), and songs for the film Call Me By Your Name.
