Every summer seems to generate at least one Company wedding, but this year boasts a true bumper crop of PNB brides and grooms.
Company soloists Laura Gilbreath and Jerome Tisserand were married on June 14 at University Presbyterian Church and celebrated with a reception at Seattle’s Arctic Club Hotel. The couple plans to honeymoon in Maui after the first of the year (and Nutcracker!). Ms. Gilbreath will be recognized professionally as Laura Tisserand.
On August 10, corps de ballet member Leah O’Connor was married to Michael Merchant at the historic Jenne Farm on Whidbey Island, followed by a honeymoon in Kauai. The bride’s gown was specially created for her by PNB’s own Mark Zappone, whose costume designs appear frequently in Company productions. Additional congratulations go to the new Ms. Merchant, who earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Washington in June.
Corps de ballet duo Emma Love and Price Suddarth were married on August 16 at The Kelley Farm in Bonney Lake, Washington. Ms. Love will be recognized professionally as Emma Love Suddarth. The couple plan to honeymoon in Hana, Maui, in October.
Last, but not least, Jessika Anspach wed Ryan McEliece on September 1 at the Anspach cabin on the Hood Canal near Belfair, Washington. A former PNB School student, Ms. Anspach has been a Company dancer since 2004.
