PNB Welcomes New Board and Advisory Council Members at the Beginning of the 2024/25 Season!
On September 25, 2024, PNB welcomed new Governing Trustee Cindy Runger and new Advisory Council Members Anne Brinson, Collett Cox, and Andrea Snyder. Keep scrolling to meet these new members!
Governing Trustee
Cindy Runger brings to the board valuable experience, having served on various board committees for the past seven years, including audit, nomination/governance, finance, and risk. Currently, she is an independent public board director with First Financial Northwest Bank (NASDAQ: FFNW), where she also chairs the nomination/governance committee. Before this, she was an independent board director for UniBank, a privately held Korean corporation.
Cindy’s professional journey encompasses diverse experiences, including 20 years in financial services. As Senior Vice-President/Private Client Advisor to US Trust/Bank of America, she led multi-disciplinary teams to drive market-share acquisition and provide comprehensive client services to the top one percent in private-client and institutional wealth. Before transitioning to the financial sector, Cindy pursued a successful career as an attorney for the Washington State Senate.
Cindy has been deeply involved in the community and is currently Vice-Chair of the Gonzaga University Board of Regents and Vice-Chair of the Bishop Blanchet High School Board of Directors. She has also served as Board Chair of the Seattle Rotary Foundation, President of the Rotary Club of Seattle, and as a board member of the Infectious Disease Research Institute, and member of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center’s Planned Giving Advisory Committee. We are thrilled to benefit from Cindy’s expertise and enthusiasm as she joins her first performing arts board.
Advisory Council
Anne Brinson fell in love with ballet at the age of 4 after watching Kent Stowell’s Nutcracker on VHS. Her love ultimately led to a successful pre-professional career, training under luminaries such as David Howard and Violette Verdy. Anne’s second love is boating; she met Advisory Council Member Pam Johnson at Seattle Yacht Club and visited PNB this past spring, which started her journey toward joining us. Anne recently joined Northwestern Mutual as their new Head of Finance. She serves on several boards and volunteer groups and is a member of the Junior League.
Collett Cox is a retired Professor and current Professor Emerita in the Department of Asian Languages and Literature at the University of Washington. At UW, where she had a 35-year career, Collett taught Sanskrit, Pali, and Gandhari Languages (all levels) as well as Buddhism and Buddhist Texts, among other courses. She continues her academic and professional service as a board member of the Gandhari Manuscripts Project at University of Sydney. Collett is also a longtime PNB supporter and subscriber of more than 20 years.
Andrea Snyder has lived in the Pacific Northwest for 40 years and has been supporting the arts here for nearly as long. Her husband Lyle introduced her to the Seattle Symphony where they have been patrons for over 30 years. After attending a few performances of The Nutcracker, they decided to become PNB subscribers nearly 15 years ago. Andrea is an accomplished percussionist. She played in the Greenwich, CT High School marching band and marched in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade, and currently plays the drums in her church band.
We are thrilled to have these new members join our Governing Board and Advisory Council – welcome, all!
