Marion Oliver McCaw Hall is located at 321 Mercer St. (Mercer Street and 3rd Avenue North), on the North side of the Seattle Center. Take the Mercer Street exit from I-5. At the first light, turn right. At the next light turn left on to Valley Street. Follow Valley Street as it turns into Broad St. and then turn right after the overpass. Take a right on 5th Avenue. Turn left on Roy Street, then turn left onto 2nd Avenue. Turn left onto Mercer Street. Marion Oliver McCaw Hall is directly on your right. See below for parking information.

There is a large parking garage (the Mercer Garage) conveniently located directly across the street from Marion Oliver McCaw Hall. This garage is operated by the Seattle Center, and parking rates range from $5.00–$15.00, depending on demand. There are also additional private parking lots throughout the area.

Find Will Call and Ticket Sales at McCaw Hall's Box Office located on the Kreielsheimer Promenade (entry level) to the right of the Grand Staircase. Windows open 90 minutes prior to PNB productions.

Dining at PRELUDE
Prelude, conveniently located in McCaw hall at the south end of the Kreielsheimer Promenade (entry level), offers full-meal service before performances and snacks, beverages and desserts during intermissions. Prelude opens two hours prior to each performance and no reservations are necessary.

In the summer of 2008, McCaw Hall announced the selection of "SAVOR...a division of SMG" as the Hall's exclusive food and beverage provider. Through an on-going collaboration with acclaimed Seattle chef Holly Smith, owner of Café Juanita and winner of the 2008 James Beard Foundation Award for Best Chef in the Northwest, SAVOR will provide creative, regional and seasonally inspired menus in the café and lobby concessions for performances

Take advantage of "Dinner and a Lecture" by arriving early for a quick meal and thoughtful pre-performance lecture. Prelude also serves a fantastic Sunday Brunch Buffet prior to Sunday matinee performances. You are welcome to come and enjoy even if you're not planning on attending that day's performance.

Amusements makes any trip to see PNB complete. Each production brings something new to McCaw Hall's gift shop located on the Kreielsheimer Promenade (entry level). At Amusements you'll find a delightful selection of unique ballet and opera production-related items, including PNB apparel, music, DVDs and videos, posters from PNB performances, kids' clothes and toys, books, signed pointe shoes, jewelry, Nutcracker decorations, and much more!

Open 2 hours prior to curtain and during intermissions on performance dates.

LECTURES

Pre-Performance Lectures—FREE
When: One hour prior to all performances (except Nutcracker)
Where: Nesholm Lecture Hall, McCaw Hall
Admission: Free for ticketholders
Join Education Programs Manager Doug Fullington for a 30-minute introduction to each performance, including discussions of choreography, music, history, design and the process of bringing ballet to the stage. The Nesholm Lecture Hall may be entered via its own entrance off Mercer Street or accessed by elevator or stairs one floor below the main entrance.

Post-Performance Q&A—FREE
When: Immediately following each performance (excluding Nutcracker)
Where: Norcliffe Room, McCaw Hall
Admission: Free for ticketholders
After the show, skip the traffic and enjoy a post-performance Q&A session with Artistic Director Peter Boal and PNB dancers.

ADA Accessibility
McCaw Hall is fully ADA accessible
  • Wheelchairs, staff assistance and ADA restrooms are available for patrons with mobility challenges.
  • There are many accessible seating locations throughout the The Susan Brotman Auditorium at McCaw Hall. Due to the many options and configurations of accessible seating, it is necessary to call the box office (206-441-2424) in order to finalize seating locations for the mobility impaired.
  • McCaw Hall is equipped with infrared listening systems for hearing-impaired patrons. Headsets are available in the lobby at no charge on a first-come, first-served basis.

McCaw Hall Guidelines
For the Benefit of our Artists and Patrons

  • Coat check, booster seats and binoculars are available at the back portion of the Kreielsheimer Promenade (main entrance level). Booster seats are intended for children or patrons shorter than 5 feet on a first-come, first- served basis.
    Binoculars: There is a $5 rental fee for binoculars.


  • Arrive Early! Patrons arriving after curtain may view the performance from lobby monitors (and may be accommodated at the discretion of McCaw Hall staff).


  • Please turn off all cellular phones, pagers and alarms before entering the auditorium.


  • Use of photographic and recording equipment during performances is strictly prohibited. Flash cameras are inconsiderate and dangerous to the artists.


  • Food and beverages are not allowed in the auditorium.


  • During performances, please curtail distracting noise such as talking, rustling programs, unwrapping cough drops, etc. after the lights go down.


  • If attending with children, please review proper audience behavior before arriving. Loud or disruptive children should be discreetly taken to the nearest exit to view the performance on lobby monitors.


  • Please use moderation in applying perfume, cologne, or scented lotion.
