Summer Saturday Children’s Division Classes
July 11 – August 8
Ages 2 – 7
Leap into the weekend with PNB School’s five-week Summer Saturday series. Energizing classes introduce young dancers to ballet and music concepts and encourage imagination, creativity, and self-expression. 2026 Summer Saturday class offerings include Duet (ages 2-3 with parent or caregiver), Tots (age 4), Creative Movement (ages 5-6), and Pre-Ballet (age 7). Summer Saturday program classes will be themed around the magical fairy world featured in the ballet, A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The five-week session culminates with an informal mini performance featuring choreography and props related to the theme.
Summer 2026
Eastside Summer Dance Workshops at the Francia Russell Center
July 6 – 31, 2026
Ages 5 – 7
Summer Dance Workshops introduce students to ballet and its rich history through dance classes and unique craft projects. Each week is themed and every day includes an hour-long dance class, music class, story, snack time, and craft project with an informal mini-performance for adoring families at the end of the week. This year’s themes are George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker®, Wizard of Oz, The Little Mermaid, Swan Lake, and Cinderella.
Workshops meet Monday-Friday with morning sessions (9:00AM-12:00PM) and afternoon sessions (1:00PM-4:00PM).

Duet
Ages 2 and 3 with parent or caretaker
Duet classes introduce the concepts of spatial awareness and cooperation within a ballet classroom. Simple musical instruments along with fun and educational props are used to introduce rhythmical timing, taking turns, moving in different directions and physical skills like jumping and galloping. Duet classes incorporate both individual and partner work within the class structure. Duet classes are offered in 9-week sessions. Classes meet once a week for 45 minutes.

Tots
Age 4
Students must be four years old by August 31, 2025 to join. Classes run from September 2025 to June 2026.

Creative Movement
Ages 5-6
Creative Movement and Creative Dance for Boys classes meet once a week. Students must be five years old by August 31, 2025 to join. Classes run from September 2025 to June 2026.

Open program & PNBConditioning
In addition to dance classes for children, Pacific Northwest Ballet School has classes for adults! PNB School’s Open Program classes in Seattle and Bellevue are open to the public (age 13 and older) and include beginning to advanced ballet technique classes. New this fall: join us for Pilates mat and reformer classes at The Francia Russell Center, and our new teen series for students ages 12-14. In addition to our Pilates classes, PNB offers private and semi-private Pilates classes taught by our PNBConditioning program instructors.
